August 7, 2012 Orchard Update

Hello from the sunny and hot Okanagan!  After a good visit with Al today, here is an orchard update:

The yellow plums are likely to be ready for picking on Saturday or Sunday.  Fruit set this year is lighter due to a late frost that affected the pollinating insects and burned a few blossoms, but the fruit is that much better and bigger because of it.

So our first pickup will be yellow and peach plums, likely within a week!  Happy eating!
